Researchers from lower middle income countries often face difficulties in having their research work published in international peer-reviewed journals due to a lack of familiarity with international standards for academic writing, language barriers and other challenges. This excludes them from integration in the international research community.
SAFOSO is involved, as a subject matter expert, in the “Science Writing Mentorship Program” (SWMP) implemented in Ukraine within the United States of America funded Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP). The project is coordinated by Metabiota. The overall focus of SWMP is to advance One Health initiatives and disease risk mitigation in Ukraine through effective dissemination of scientific findings. Central aspects of this program include mentorship on science writing and facilitating collaborations for future research endeavours.
Through the SWM Program several abstracts have sucessfully been submitted to international peer reviewed scientific journals. SAFOSO supervised the development of xxxx of them.
