Project Background:
The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is funding an international technical assistance project in Georgia, which aims to develop and implement a national animal identification and traceability system as well as develop a veterinary information system. SDC requested external backstopping services to advice SDC on the strategic steering of the project, provide recommendations on the lessons learnt within the project and to assess its progress towards its strategic goals.
Our Work:
We are in regular exchange with the project’s implementing team and SDC to monitor project progress and provide recommendations on future directions of the project. We also facilitate access to information about other, similar systems in order to promote the use of best practices in Georgia. Finally, we help identify relevant topics for policy dialogue. Our support contributes to strengthening the sustainability of the project’s results and the long-term viability of Georgia’s animal identification and traceability system.
