Swissgenetics, an artificial insemination organization in Switzerland, manages bull studs for its national breeding programs. High biosecurity standards are in place to maintain the health status of the breeding bulls.

SAFOSO conducted a feed risk assessment for Swissgenetics to determine the probability that breeding-relevant pathogens are introduced into the breeding stations through feed. Additional risk reduction measures were proposed where necessary based on the findings of the risk assessment.

The conclusions and recommendations of the risk assessment are now used to further refine the feed purchase policy of Swissgenetics.
