SAFOSO is coordinating the multi-country research project MINAPIG which investigates alternatives to antimicrobial use in pig production. Field studies are planned to be conducted in France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and Switzerland, including surveys of veterinarians and farmers to elicitate the factors influencing their choices on the use of preventive measures, particularly antimicrobials. The project will run for 3 years and results will presented in a public conference in 2015.
