Project background

The Global Framework for the Control of Transboundary Animal Diseases (GF-TADs) is a joint governance activity of FAO and OIE launched in 2004 to achieve coordinated prevention and control of transboundary animal diseases, and in particular to address their regional and global dimensions.

Our work

The third evaluation of the GF-TADs was led by SAFOSO and covers the period from 2009 to 2017. The evaluation provided to the GF-TADs Global Steering Committee and Management Committee will help to issue recommendations to guide GF-TADs’ enhanced collaboration at regional and global levels and encourage improvement of the GF-TADs’ tools.
